I love this idyllic country scene, David. Your work is lovely and you very successfully achieved exactly what you talk about in your description- the colors, the light, and the warm contented feeling one gets just looking at this painting are its magic. I, too, find myself wanting not to duplicate a photo but to create art that tells a story, makes people feel good, or reminds someone of a happy memory.
