Small town airports have morphed into the kind of place that has to land major sized jet planes, just as the protocols we go through to get on the new monster sized beasts.Old school had us loading on the tarmac, waling up and down portable stairways (much like the president does nowadays), putting on our best clothes to ride in style,and extreme excitement.
Now it is common place to fly, with hundreds of millions of passengers every year, and the security measures we have to endure to fly safely.

David Zimmerman was born in Washington, D.C.He began his studies at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1964. He continued on in his training with Bill Woodward at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. In order to receive a bacalaureate degree he transferred to George Washington University, where he studied Drawing and Printmaking with Frank Wright. He was granted a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts in 1970.After a brief period of training with Phillip Pearlstein in Massachusetts, he returned to George Washington University where he again studied with William Woodward and Arthur Hall Smith.
