I need Help

Hello, my name is David Zimmerman. I am a life long artist/painter living and working in Durham, North Carolina. I will be 76 years old on my next birthday. Perhaps you’ve seen my paintings on the website here, I have been painting for almost 50 years, and like a gambler I always think “this one’s going to payoff!” I am living on the sale of my artworks, which is pretty dismal since the pandemic and the recession, and my social security income is only $900 a month.
A couple of weeks ago I was traveling in Raleigh, a city some forty miles distant from my home. I got lost on the way to the Farmer’s Market and couldn’t rely on familiar streets, so I tried to use the GPS on the phone. The numbers and letters were so small I couldn’t even read them after pulling to the side of the road. Worse yet, the letters on the street signs were all blurry and no amount of squinting helped. I felt a little panicky, but after asking a couple of different strangers I was able to find my way by their landmarks. I was dumbfounded. YIKES! I never gave it a thought that I would reach this point
When I got home I immediately made an appointment with the eye doctor.
It turns out that I have cataracts that need surgery (just like MONET!) and have some special problems These cataracts are creating so much pressure that I couldn’t have my eyes dilated. I have astigmatism which can only be corrected by laser surgery (not covered by MEDICARE) and special lenses for both near and distant vision will cost $3000 per eye, (also not covered by MEDICARE) $6,000 is way beyond my means and saving for the rainy day just isn’t happening. I have to ask for help

As of today(OCtober 27th) I am 35% funded but any amount is greatly appreciated
