Lowering skies war with the sunrise on Wrightsville beach. The beach trip is so short and you want it to be blue skies and sun bombing on the sand that the thought of a rainy day is a real bummer. This is the Johnny Mercer fishing pier, one of the major landmarks of the Wilmington beach area.
